If you're hunting for an Apartment, you will meet the Good and The Bad Agent. |
And what this means to us, taking bullets for our clients, as many other agents feel so bad about our approach with apartment hunting, some say "we are acting and asking the necessary questions like a client instead of an agent. Others say, "Clients are not really that valuable people."
As agents, here is what we have to say to fellow agents: This is about fairness. It's a huge problem when some agents resort to extortion, demanding unreasonable fees from clients. It tarnishes the reputation of all of us and makes it harder for everyone to trust our profession.
We've had direct conversations, sometimes tough ones, with agents who are clearly overcharging or creating unnecessary hurdles for clients. Our message is simple: STOP THE EXTORTION. It's unethical, unprofessional, and frankly, it's just wrong.

This kind of behaviour not only hurts clients financially but also erodes the trust essential for a healthy agent-client relationship. We believe in transparency and fair dealings above all else.
On the flip side, we also want to shine a light on the good agents out there! ✨ Many of us work incredibly hard, going the extra mile to ensure smooth, fair, and successful transactions for our clients.
If you've had an agent who was honest, efficient, and genuinely looked out for your best interests, consider showing your appreciation with a tip. It's a fantastic way to acknowledge their hard work and encourage more of that ethical behaviour.
A little generosity goes a long way in motivating agents to maintain high standards and continue doing the right thing. It creates a positive feedback loop that benefits everyone in the long run.
Let's champion fairness and integrity in our industry. Call out the bad and celebrate the good! What are your experiences, good or bad, with agents?
